Early in the 50s, Cor Alons created this coffee table for C. den Boer, Gouda (the Netherlands). This table is translucent in appearance, made of glass, and has round holes in the sides and high, thin, slanted, tapering legs. It was also constructed using cutting-edge methods at the time. The glass top is held up by bent birch plywood. TCor Alons designed an almost museum-quality example of Dutch Modernism. An icon!
