Jacob Eiler Bang designed this tall opaline glass pendant lamp in 1963 for Fog and Morup, a Danish company. This lamp has a beautiful blue-gray colored glass. Danish glass artist Jacob E. Bang was known for his original designs. He was a one of the key figures in Danish Modernism and his work is known for its elegance, simplicity and functionality. Clean lines, soft curves and an emphasis on the interaction between form and light were hallmarks of Bang’s work. Bang collaborated with several leading glassmakers and designed a wide range of objects, from ornamental sculptures and chandeliers to practical objects such as vases and bowls.
