The Martin Visser sofa bed is an iconic design from the early 60s. Martin Visser designed this classic for ‘t Spectrum (the Netherlands). The design of this sofa has sleek lines, but the sofa provides a lot of comfort. And the armrest adds a little extra support. You can turn this br03 sofa into a single bed in no time. This br03 sofa bed has new hr foam and is professionally upholstered with a beautiful kiwi green furniture fabric from Kvadrat (Denmark).

Martin Visser (1922-2009) was a well-known Dutch designer and architect. Visser was known for his minimalist designs that were functional, elegant and timeless. Visser’s work spanned furniture, lighting and interiors.

One of Visser’s most famous works is the sofa bed (br02 and br03), which he designed in 1960. This sleeping sofa is considered a masterpiece of Dutch design. Another remarkable design is the lounge chair SZ01, which he designed in 1965.

Martin Visser’s designs were often characterized by the use of simple materials and clean lines and he was inspired by the modernist movements of the 20th century. His work has had a profound impact on the design world today and many of his pieces are now considered iconic examples of modernist design.
