The F557 Swivel chair was designed by Pierre Paulin in 1961 for Artifort. It is the first edition of the Oyster Chair and only produced until 1965. The seat is very comfortable and the chair features a molded and pressed wooden shell as well as a plastic round base. The seating has been professionally restored and re-upholsterd with a lavender colored woollen fabric by Kvadrat Tonus 4 – 764. The base of this F557 swivel chair is marked.
