Article number 7435
Oyster model F157 designed by Pierre Paulin in 1958 for Artifort (the Netherlands). This chair is a true Dutch Design Classic. The metal legs are slightly slanted, the curved plywood seating seems to float above these legs. A soft layer of molded foam has been professionally reupholstered with a beautiful, bright blue woolen fabric by Kvadrat from the Tonus 4 series. This blue woolen fabric we chose, fits perfectly with the soft shape of this Oyster. The Oyster model F157 is an elegant, playful chair. Not dominant in shape, but really special.

Pierre Paulin.
This French industrial designer has made several designs for Artifort, but also for Thonet. A number of his designs are included in the collection of the Center Pompidou in Paris. The Orange Slice is Paulin’s most famous design. In terms of design language, the design of the Orange Slice matches best with the Oyster.
