The Tulip series, designed by Eero Saarinen (Finland / United States) in 1956 for Knoll. This round table has a Tulip base of cast aluminum and a wooden top with white formica. Saarinen not only designed beautiful chairs and tables with the Tulip series, but because the Tulip base is very stable, also furniture with only one instead of four legs. A revolution.
Design is in the details; Saarinen also had an eye for the rim of the table top.
