Six exclusive and beautiful dining chairs by Borge Mogensen, model number 155, made by Soborg Furniture, Denmark. The design is from 1949. Mogensen added some fine Danish Design details in the design of these Shell chairs; the elegant, organically shaped light oak frames and the oval shape of the plywood teak-veneered backrests and seating parts. A truly comfy yet luxurious set of Danish dining chairs.
Along with other designers like Arne Jacobsen and Hans Wegner, Mogensen established the reputation of Danish furniture design over the world. Borge Mogensen helped define and popularize the “Danish Modern” design style.
